As many of our loyal and supportive fans know, we have been chugging right along with the development of the Graffiti of War Project. Since the idea sprang to life from nothing in the spring of 2010 to our recent summer expedition to Kuwait and Iraq, we have made some enormous leaps forward in our quest to promote what we have coined, Conflict Art. Recently, we have encountered what we believe is the next step in the evolution of this historically significant endeavor, the multi-cultural art exhibit.

...Like Never Before.Since before the expedition, we began to receive inquiries from art galleries all across the U.S. asking whether we had considered showcasing this amazing art in an art show. We kicked it around a bit, but it seemed a bit out of our scope at the time and much of our concern was directed towards the success of the expedition. The Graffiti of War Project opened their National Art Exhibition in Pennsylvania for Veterans Day 2011 which was a resounding success. After taking a break for the holiday season, the Project’s staff hit the ground running earlier this week and have now announced their next venue in Montgomery, NY. Mikey Teutual of American Chopper fame, has invited the Graffiti of War Project to showcase their Conflict Art Exhibit during Presidents Day weekend 2012.
As the date of this event draws closer, the Graffiti of War Project’s Media & Public Relations Team will be extending invitations and releasing more details concerning the featured artists, corporate sponsors, and other activities scheduled around this very unique exhibit. We are still looking for sponsors and corporate partners to participate in this event. Please contact sponsors@graffitiofwar.com to discuss the opportunity this event presents.

Veterans' Day - 2011
Through our ever-growing network of organizations, companies and individuals, we began planning the National Art Exhibit to open on Veterans Day in Pennsylvania. After months of careful planning, we opened the National Art Exhibit on Veterans Day 2011 and it was a huge success, thanks to our partners, sponsors and host, The Block of Art/Vision. Your Experiences - Your Perspective - Your Art
The exhibit features some of the images we have collected through our website, Facebook page and during our June expedition. In addition to the Conflict Art Exhibit, we want to showcase military artists, active and veterans, military family members and local nationals from Iraq and Afghanistan. We want to exhibit all types of art, from painting and drawing to poetry and music. The goal is to raise awareness for the development of alternative solutions to the invisible wounds of war, such as art therapy. We have from the beginning wanted to use this art as a bridge over the widening cultural gap between those who have experienced the horrors of conflict, on both sides, and those who haven’t, to bring empathy and understanding and eventually healing to shattered communities across the world. We feel this exhibition is a great way to begin this mission, one community at a time.
