It has been an incredible 60 days and this campaign has been much more successful than we could have ever imagined. We started out thinking that we could never ask for what we really needed ($6,000) and decided to shoot low due to the requirements of Kickstarter. Two weeks later the project had raised over $1,500 and we were astounded. I was kicking myself for not having more faith in our concept, our abilities and the generosity of our fans. A month later and we had raised in excess of $4,000 and it has been a wild ride ever since.
All of us, who have dedicated the last 15 months of our lives and every spare minute of our time, are grateful and humbled at the out-pouring of support by the supporters of this project. Without your direct support we could not have planned the upcoming expedition which has truly become the cornerstone of success in the overall project specifically because of the upcoming drawdown of US forces in 2012. Each of your donations, whether $2 or $500 are critical to the success of not just the expedition, but the entire Graffiti of War Project. Thank you all for making this dream of ours become a reality. Words fail to describe our gratitude for each and every one of you.
As this campaign draws to a close, we would like to update our fans and supporters one last time on the newest development of The Graffiti of War Project. Due to the fact that without the direct support of our fans the finished product of this project would never see the light of day, we have decided to add a supporter’s page to final book. This page will list each and every one of our early supporters, our Kickstarter pledges. We are still in the early planning stages of the final appearance of this addition but we will ensure that each of you is mentioned. In addition, we would like each of you to help us design this portion of the book, as a final "thank you" for your support of our dream.
Over the next few months, as we finish collecting the images during the expedition and return stateside to begin the design process, we will create a page either on our Facebook page or through our website where we will be accepting ideas, comments and suggestions from each of you that would like to participate. As we have said from the beginning, this project belongs to all of us that have sacrificed to ensure its success. We hope that by offering each of you a chance to participate in a portion of the design, you will truly understand our gratitude for your generous support.
We have just less than 30 hours to go on this campaign and we are still looking for additional supporters to ensure the successful funding of the Summer Expedition to Kuwait & Iraq. We have just one final need to ask of each of you. Please pass this final update around to anyone and everyone so we can receive the maximum exposure for this project, our project. Each one of us expresses our deepest gratitude to all of you for your willingness to support our vision for The Graffiti of War Project and Foundation. We look forward to what is next in the weeks and months ahead of the final completion of this project.
Always Forward!
