August 8th, 2011 - The Graffiti of War Project announces the official beginning of the National Gallery Tour showcasing the art from their multi-year effort to collect and document images of art created by service members, civilians and local nationals enduring the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition, this exposition will feature the works of veteran and military artists both here at home and still deployed to combat. This tour will present the little seen perspective from the individual experience of this generation's conflicts. Through the creation of this art, these men and women express the emotions of war and provide an insight to life in combat.
